BEST #OWNVOICES CHILDREN’S BOOKS: My Favorite Diversity Books for Kids Ages 1-12 is a book that I created to highlight books written by authors who share the same marginalized identity as the characters in their books.
This is a great list. I’ll have to check out the ones I don’t already have. Some of my night-time faves include these oldies:
– Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel
– Make Way for Ducklings
– A Tree is Nice
– Andrew Henry’s Meadow
To Jessica,
Thank you so much for your book recs! I will add to the list!
