Caught in the Act … of READING!

Caught in the Act of READING!

Thank you to everyone who sent me pictures. I am posting them in the order received and they are ALL wonderful. I like how this week’s group of kids look so cozy in their chairs (or yoga exercise balls). And I also love how engrossed they all are. Like they are really, really into their books. Yay! This is what I dream about!

Reader Gina says, “Hi Mia – here’s my little guy, reading his Level 1 Madagascar Penguins book in his new chair!”

(I have to admit that I studied the picture to figure out which book he was reading. It’s Happy King Julian Day. I love that chair; it looks so cozy!)

Reader Ken says, “here is the photo you asked for. My daughter is in kindergarten and already a bibliophile 🙂 Her younger sister loves books, too, and both are library nerds like me. I just finished a Library Technician program, and worked in my daughter’s school, reading stories from Kindergarten to grade 5, working with kids up to the grade 9 level.  Thank you for enjoying sharing in our family’s love of reading.”
(I LOVE this book! And so do my kids! Caldecott illustrator and generally funny author Mo Willems)

Reader Linda sends in this great picture of her boys reading at an airport.
(I recognized the cover. It’s The Demigod Files: A Percy Jackson and the Olympians Guide. My 5th grade daughter read every Percy Jackson book that  she could get her hands on including this one.)
