Dog Walking Leash Attachment for an extra hand

Free Hand When You Need Walking Your Dog

Capability:Mom turned me on the FreeHand Safety Strap. We both use a retractable leash to walk our dogs because the dogs like the freedom but the leash gets unwieldy when the time comes to clean up the doggy doo doo. You do actually need two hands to pick up the poo so what to do with the leash (not to mention dog treats that I am also holding!). I am usually trying to hold the leash handle under my arm which doesn’t actually work that well, especially if my dog has a smell that he wants to pursue.

Well, apparently Deric Dyer who invented this dog accessory product had the same problem. It was even worse for him. He has a rescue dog who, after dislodging the retractable leash from under Deric’s arm, is now running frantically because the sound of the hand dragging is terrifying to him!

I have a video on it here if you want to see the product in action. If you want check it out, click here for the website.

Congratulations to Kelly Ann T. who won the Freehand Safety Strap! Enjoy an extra hand (with coffee mug in hand even!) when you use your retractable leash. It’s also great when you tie up your dog as you can simply snap to a pole or bench leg.
