Great Advice/Quote Book with Really Long Title (perfect for adult gift)

Parenting Advice Book From Parent to Adult Child

“In the end, you will never regret the things you have done, but you will regret the things you haven’t done.”

Rodolfo Costa from Advice My Parents Gave Me and Other Lessons I Learned from My Mistakes. A collection of 409 thoughts, quotes, lessons, ideas, suggestions, reminders, and words of advice and encouragement to help you lead a more prosperous, rewarding, peaceful, happy, and fulfilling life.

An ambitious book you ask?!  Naw!  Think of this of a Magic 8 Ball of Advice.  Flip around the pages with your question and your eyes will land on a quote with just the right words of advice to answer your question.  It’s not meant to work like this but it just does.  Really.  Try it and you’ll see!

Q:  Should I be blogging at 10:34 p.m. or sleeping?  Or should I be working stuff that I actually earn money from (as opposed to blogging?!)?

A:  #164 is the first quote my eyes landed on:  When you experience a negative circumstance or event, do not dwell on it.  Be proactive — put your attention on what you need to do to bring the situation to a positive result.

Hmm… I think that means “finish up the blog post, then go to bed.  Someday your blog will generate money to replace your day job.”  Or maybe that is a generous interpretation.  I may need to sleep on this!

Seriously, if I had spent the same number of hours writing these posts for my blog and INSTEAD collected meaningful quotes, I’d have a collection almost as good as Rodolfo Costa’s.  I’m keeping it next to my computer and I will be tweeting his quotes out weekly.  Really, they are that good.

This would make a perfect gift to new parents or anyone who needs a light push to take risks to pursue their dreams.
